We were quite hesitant to camp here, following our experience in 2010 when there were thousands of bats, and the place stunk. So we had a quick explore realised the bats had disappeared, and there were only a small number of campers. So we checked in and set up camp in the unpowered section and had three wallows in the 34 degree Celsius water. This experience took us back to our first trip to Mataranka with the kids in 1999 – just so Beautiful and relaxing
