Back into Broome for the second time! Met up with old Teacher college and Darwin mate Mark Ireland and his wife who have hired a 4wd with a roof top tent to join us for the next four weeks. In addition Maureen’s sister Anne has flown in from the Phillipines for a three week holiday as well. Had a great swim at Cable beach where I was pleasantly surprised by as the water was not the ‘hot soup’ I remembered from my Darwin days but was refreshing with a good swell.

Had two lovely nights sitting on the cliffs of Roebuck Bay waiting for the famous ‘staircase to the moon’, unfortunately Wednesday was a fizzer with cloud coming in about an hour prior to the rise of the moon, however on Thursday it lived up to its reputation! It was a very impressive sight.
