Lovely drive, departing Barcaldine, the road continues North west with the vegetation slowly becoming more sparse and dry. We really lost that green tinge today!
Lunch at Tattersalls Hotel in Winton, which brought back many memories of a wonderful night with our kids in 1999. This pub does good meals(Snapper and Chips plus a steak sandwich) for reasonable prices ( $31) and has never left us disappointed.
Drove onto Pinnancle Rock formations at the entrance to Kungku Kama waterhole, which whilst very dry has some great first Nation art at its base – just a shame that the visitors of the 50’s carved their graffiti all over it! The older generation has a lot to answer for!
Great climb up the escarpment, gives terrific views to the surrounding countryside.
