February 9 – 12 Jingellic Camping Reserve Bridge Hotel

February 13, 2018 - Reading time: ~1 minute

After our flash camping stay in Tathra it was great to cross the Great Dividing range again, via Cooma, Snowy Mountain Highway via Adaminaby to Kiandra and onto Tumbarumba via Mount Selwyn ski fields and Kosciusko National Park to finally arrive at Jingellic and the Bridge Hotel. We were joined three hours later by Maureen’s brother Chris. Had a reasonable meal at the pub and a quiet wine!

On Saturday we did the Walwa loop to Corryong via Lawrences’s lookout! Had a good walk around Corryong and then went to Bluff falls (good free camping site here) and were lucky to see the falls running! Followed the Sandy Creek to find Australia’s largest monolith “Pine Mountain” … it would be fair to that it is nowhere near as spectacular as Uluru!

Sunday saw another lovely drive along the Walwa – Khancoban road and once again the scenery along the Murray was spectacular . The Murray is home to some great free camps – in particular Neil’s Bend. Image description Image description Image description Image description
