Tuesday – Thursday January 16-18 Girraween National Park Queensland

January 27, 2018 - Reading time: ~1 minute

Well the day finally! arrived after more than five years of planning we embarked on our eleven month adventure to Western Australia via NSW, SA, and NT.

We set of at the leisurely time of 9am and arrived at the peaceful Castle Rock campground mid afternoon and set up camp. Over the days we did all the major walks including Castle Rock,The Sphinx, Turtle Rock and the pyramids, but were most impressed with The Junction walk. With over 20 kms covered our fitness is on the improve!

At $12 a night, Girraween National Park with hot showers is great value!

Day 4 January 19 – Bretti’s Reserve

Amazing winding drive down Thunderbolts way to our first free camp! Big open spaces on the Manning river and a night sky to dream of! We even saw the “Duck” in its entirety! Image description Image description Image description
