Keys!
Up at 5.30am, easy pack up, goodbye to the ladies and departure at 6 ! 6.30 on the Centennial Highway Maurs turns to me and says, buggar I forgot my trailer keys!!! So had I!
An hour later and we were on our again!
A fairly easy and thankfully safe drive to Hebel via Toowoomba, Dalby, Moonie and St George saw us arrive around 3 pm.
Hebel is a tiny town located just north of Lightning Ridge on the Queensland/ NSW border. Did I mention tiny? There is the pub, general store and a caravan park all owned and operated by the same people – the pub camp is a free camp and very popular with 12 cars tonight, ranging from tents to caravans. A very old vehicle behind the pub - plate says Fordson!
