Wilson River, Noccundra June 26 -28

July 1, 2021 - Reading time: ~1 minute

Boggy! It is amazing the impact of rain on the landscape! A very good dirt road on the way in was a potentially boggy mess on the way out! The myriad of tracks without signs also made it extremely difficult to navigate!

Rolled into Cunnamulla for a quick breath test at 9.45am and continued on our way to Wilson River and the Noccundra pub.

Wonderful spot, beautiful wide waterhole, with Pelicans, Egrets and Cormorants in abundance, while the surrounding plains of Mitchell grass was home to numerous galahs and budgies. With the moon while full, beginning to rise later each night we were treated to some magnificent night skies with the Milky Way and the Emu on full display. Image description Image description
