Charlotte Plains & DigTree

Charlotte Plains - 8 hours long hot drive - restful relaxing hot artesian baths on sunset. Further more the drive was incredibly interesting going from the bone dry Darling Downs to water lying on the side of the road past Bollon.

While an enjoyable stay, we were time poor and pushed onto the famous Dig Tree via the wonderful Noccudra Hotel - ice cold beer- in the middle of nowhere - at good prices!

we set up camp at the Dig Tree with the place to ourselves. Rugged up,fire blazing - the temperature dropped down to sub 5 degrees.

My early awakening was rewarded with a superb sunrise across Coopers Creek
