July13 Exmouth – Yardie Homestead

July 23, 2018 - Reading time: ~1 minute

Exmouth for us will be a little bit like Broome was, a place to resupply water and food for our longer adventures in the Ningaloo Marine National Park, with our most pressing need - water for our week stay at Ningaloo Station.

Exmouth is a small town, basically famous for the reef, the RAAF base and the naval base (over the horizon radar). The shopping centre while small is very good and there is a superb bakery where we picked up a magnificent scallop pie.

The Caravan Park is undergoing redevelopment and really is a bit of a mess, ( no potable water on site, and power cords everywhere) but at least they are not charging $65 a night as they did in Broome!
