February 19 – 22 Clare Discovery Caravan Park

In early February we got an email offering us a 25% discount for a three night stay and since we were going to stay in Clare anyway and there is no free camping in the area we took up the offer. This was advantageous as we had been free camping for ten days and needed to recharge the batteries, fill the water tank and replace the tyres on the car which have now done 55,000kms.

In addition of course we did visit a winery or two and try a Riesling or two! We tried hard to visit cello doors that we had not previously been to. Had a great time at Taylor’s, O’Leary Walker, Tim Adams and Knapsteins. The lady at Knapsteins did us a few good deals including sending us on our way with two bubble wrapped wine glasses. ( how long will they last?) Some wonderful wines, beautiful scenery and a very restful three days
