It was only a twenty minute drive from Cygnet Bay to Kooljaman so we had a slow pack up and departure to ensure that we did not arrive too early. We are now at the top of the Dampier Peninsula!. I had booked the site here in October last year, just to make sure that we got a good site on the beach.
Well that certainly paid off- take a look at the view from our beach hut
The camper is set up behind the hut with the annex aligned to the doorway
This means that we are spending our time in relative comfort, swimming, snorkelling, reading overlooking the majestic Indian Ocean and then showering in the tent as well! As illustrated by Maureen
We have had four wonderful days here, swimming, snorkeling, walking reading and quite simply relaxing. Yes it is our most expensive camp site on the trip so far, but it has been worth every cent and Maurs would like to stay longer.
On Monday we returned to Cygnet Bay for the Waterfall Reef tour as it had not been running while we stayed there due to the smaller tides. In a word they are simply stunning and though it is hard to believe even more impressive than Horizontal falls. The reef is a kilometre long and covers over four sq kilometres in area and falling 2 metres.
once again the photos fail to do it justice.
