Riverbend is not really a caravan Park, in the traditional sense of very organised sites, packed closely together. It has only 8 organised sites a few cabins, and a large open area, with lots of beautiful trees, located on a bend in the Denmark River about two kilometres from town. It has been a wonderful place to stay and we would recommend it, but not the weather! The Riverbend and rapids
This area has three main attractions, the magnificent coastline with the Southern Ocean, pushing in and the superb tall timber forests. In addition over the last ten years it has become a serious challenger to the Clare Valley as Australia’s best Riesling area. So our days tended to be a mixture of the three. We would start driving along the coastline. ![Image description](c9983422-1fb9-4f97-8894-9c7a3326082e.jpeg
Followed by some walks amongst the tall forests
Followed by some wine tasting! It has been another great place to visit but the continual drizzle and westerly winds have made it impossible to undertake the treetop walk, so hopefully we will be able to return to the area at some stage in the next few weeks!
