This is our last stay on the Gibb River Rd and we have got here five days early due to Kalumburu still being closed. A nice drive in and we were able to choose a delightful spot on the bank of Barker River/Annie creek. Had a lovely walk along Matthew creek, which had a delightful stream running through it and beautiful weeping paperbarks. The cliffs were reasonably high, but were made up of this amazing dark rock, which I think was dolerite.
We also lashed out and had a three course meal at the homestead for $50 but a set menu. We both loved it and followed up with a glass of red wine around the camp fire. It was a very relaxing night.

Lots of rock hopping!
