October 24 – 27 Bremer Bay Caravan Park

We booked in for four nights hoping for sun, low winds and good beach conditions for fishing. Unfortunately for us we ended up with quite cloudy days, low temperatures and windy beaches. We had a lovely drive out to a Point Ann in the Western end of the Fitzgerald National Park and climbed West Mt Barren, which was very challenging!

Our drives around the bay were fascinating as we learnt that the early settlers brought all their supplies in by ship which only took 1 day compared to 8 days across country. Sounds a good plan until you see the bars, rough seas. – no wonder many ships and lives were lost!

We would love to visit here when the sun was shining
