July 5 -6 Westmar and Fig Tree Irongate

We departed Alroy for the long trip home heading 600 kms approximately to Westmar Roadhouse Camping Area which was a nice free camp behind the roadhouse and pub. Had a good meal at the pub and made our way to Dalby were we restocked for a night and moved onto Fig Tree camp ground at Irongate.

Fig Tree was very unusual, with a air strip running across the property, situated on the top of a hill over looking the Darling Downs. Our campsite gave us wonderful views across farm lands, Mt Tyson and a stunning sunset and a great fire pit! We will be returning for a weekend get away.
