What a great nights sleep! Waking to the sound of the kookaburras laughing as the sun rose, we lazed around to 7 and after a cuppa, brekkie and the compulsory toilet break we hit the road right on 8am.
There appears to be noticeably less road kill on the side of the roads and perhaps this is an indicator of the abundance of rain over the last few months. The countryside is in wonderful condition.
This campsite at Augathella is very good for a $5 donation and it is certainly getting busy! Rodeo on Easter Saturday, Billy cart races on Sunday and then horse racing Monday.
In keeping with many regional towns the locals have painted the local water tower and it is quite stunning. Purchased burgers and sausages from the local butcher, and tasted the beer at the local. All good!
